Excellent book for all ages。 The concepts (lots of them) coined by the author are referred to, in all the chapters。 As much psychological, principle centered and technical frameworks, to embark you on a transformative journey whether its personal or professional。

This was a very enlightening book and a great way to live。 I hope that I can live this way。 The book is definitely true because you can hear the same message in other places such as a Jocko Willink podcast。 Be positive and proactive, take responsibility for yourself and your actions and get other people to treat you the way you want to be treated by first treating them that way。 Jocko calls it extreme ownership, this book calls it the circle of influence or handling an issue inside out。 This was This was a very enlightening book and a great way to live。 I hope that I can live this way。 The book is definitely true because you can hear the same message in other places such as a Jocko Willink podcast。 Be positive and proactive, take responsibility for yourself and your actions and get other people to treat you the way you want to be treated by first treating them that way。 Jocko calls it extreme ownership, this book calls it the circle of influence or handling an issue inside out。 This was a great book and I suggest it to anyone that is open to improvement。 。。。more

This book changed the way I think about time management and personal development and growth。 Don’t expect to read it in a short period of time。 The principles are meant to be put into practice, and most of the habits will probably take one a lifetime to become second nature。 This is a book I expect I will keep and refer to periodically。 Highly recommend。

A deeply thought-provoking read。 The habits that stood out most were “begin with the end in mind” followed by “seek fist to understand, then to be understood” and finally “think win-win”。 The habits outlined in this book can be applied across all aspects of how we spend our time and I know I’ll be revisiting them (and this book) multiple times throughout my life。

'Proactive' is the most significant thing that I got from this book。 I'm a reactive person and now I can try to be proactive instead! 'Proactive' is the most significant thing that I got from this book。 I'm a reactive person and now I can try to be proactive instead! 。。。more

One of the most-highlighted books on Kindle, proving that human beings thrive on snappy buzz-quotes written by middle managers like David Brent who partake of the music of M People and Steely Dan Kool & The Gang, and whose souls were long ago vacuumed out in a boardroom somewhere during a PowerPoint presentation。

It's alright。 It's pretty good。 Though it may be common sense to some, but it's this common sense one needs in the front of their heads at all times。This isn't a guidebook for a business man or entrepreneur, this is a manual on how to be and become mature。Though I've seen the name and title of this book soiled by many financial gurus and toxic self help。 I believe there are also schools forcing students to read this book。 Not a good look for the book。But no matter how you've been introduced to t It's alright。 It's pretty good。 Though it may be common sense to some, but it's this common sense one needs in the front of their heads at all times。This isn't a guidebook for a business man or entrepreneur, this is a manual on how to be and become mature。Though I've seen the name and title of this book soiled by many financial gurus and toxic self help。 I believe there are also schools forcing students to read this book。 Not a good look for the book。But no matter how you've been introduced to this, it is a good read, only if you're interested in it 。。。more

I found this book a bit of a slog。 It has some great info, great perspectives, great lessons。 But it’s dry as the desert and was not an easy read - for me。 I’m glad I’ve read it。 I do feel like I’ve learned new perspectives and insights, and thought processes。

Despite a cringy title I found this one to be surprisingly deep, beautiful, and insightful。 A weird focus on god, the father of us all, was a bit of a turn-off for me, though。

There are good principles in this book - think win-win, seek first to understand then to be understood, etc。 but it is very difficult to digest。 The most powerful points within each section wouldn’t have amounted to more than a handful of pages each。 If this much needs to be said to get the point across, I have to question the method in its entirety。 Again, some good principles, but could have been said more efficiently, and; therefore, more effectively。

This book has been on my radar for years and years。 I finally had the real motivation to read it when it was recommended for a leadership program I am working to develop for work。 It seemed if I want to include a course on this book that I should at least read it。Wow, just wow。 This book is powerful。 Nothing is really profound--it's simply practical and common sense information。 However, Covey presents it in a way that really makes you think。 I read Habit #1 (Be proactive) before a weekend that This book has been on my radar for years and years。 I finally had the real motivation to read it when it was recommended for a leadership program I am working to develop for work。 It seemed if I want to include a course on this book that I should at least read it。Wow, just wow。 This book is powerful。 Nothing is really profound--it's simply practical and common sense information。 However, Covey presents it in a way that really makes you think。 I read Habit #1 (Be proactive) before a weekend that had the potential to be very challenging。 I went into that I could be proactive and take responsibility for my thoughts, words, and actions rather than giving control to others。 Result: about as good of a weekend as I could expect。Biggest surprise: it's a thick book。I have the version that has updates from Covey's son, Sean, which adds to the length, but I found his insights to be helpful in determining how to put the habits into practice。 。。。more
